Eat vegetables raw, baked or steamed. Avoid fried or breaded foods at all costs. Fried foods will release ‘Free Radicals’ into your system (Free radicals are unstable atoms that can damage cells, causing illness and aging.
They are linked to aging and a host of diseases). The best way to make vegetables taste good is by the spices that we use during cooking.
Use nuts and seeds with fruit as your cereal—peaches, blueberries, strawberries, bananas, etc.
This will satisfy your cravings for sweets, get some protein into your system and avoid simple sugars that accompany the majority of cereals on the market.
Avoid cold cuts in sandwiches. Veggie burgers make perfect sandwiches (make sure you read the ingredients in packaged veggie burgers and use bread made with seeds) and pile on like lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, hearts of palm, artichoke hearts, sprouts, cucumbers, and avocado. Now that’s a sandwich!!!
Don’t snack for the sake of snacking. Don’t snack onfood you don’t like. Don’t snack on junk food (potato chips, crackers, candy bars). So what do you eat? Prepare healthy food with you, carry a small cooler and snack on that food.
(The sandwich I just mention cut in smaller pieces would make a great snack).
