Processed foods are the beginning of the end of good health. Once you become an ingredient label reader, you’ll realize just how much your personal health will improve by just staying away from items disguised as food, but contaminated with added sugar, preservatives, artificial colors, chemical processing and artificial flavorings.
It’s very difficult to completely avoid toxicity in the world. The best way to avoid toxic chemical additives is to understand that the word “food” ceases to exist the minute any chemicals, additives, preservatives or added sugars are added to them. At that point what should be food becomes a slow poisoning process that years down the road will affect us with major diseases like diabetes, heart trouble, strokes, etc. and conditions such as anxiety, depression, panic attacks and a compromised immune system.
While the body is very resilient and is able to fight certain conditions and get rid of impurities in our system, if everything inside and outside the body is poisonous, the body will quickly break down. So it’s our duty to avoid as much impurity from entering our system as we can to give the body a fighting chance at staying healthy and strengthen the immune system.
Here are two of the major dangers in our foods and how they contaminate our daily nutrition.
Artificial Sweeteners Are More Addicting than Cocaine
- Artificial Sweeteners and Sugars
Sugar is the number one killer in our foods. Sugar has been proven to be eight times more addicting than cocaine. Food manufacturers in efforts to get consumers addicted to their foods, have compiled over 200 names that signify sugar but are not readily recognized by the consumer. Their end game is to get you addicted to their food as they did with cigarettes in the 20’s-50’s. We all have cell phones and we all know how to look up items on Google, so I recommend that if you don’t know what an item in the ingredient label of the food that you’re about to purchase is, “Google it,” it might just save your life.
Artificial sweeteners are deadly for your health and they will get you hooked, addicted and miserable for the rest of your life.
If you’re fat or obese and you can’t understand why, it’s probably because you’re an addict…a sugar addict or a have an addiction to the chemicals in the food that won’t allow you to stop eating. Welcome to the world of addicts, over 65% of the population is affected making them extremely overweight or obese and they just can’t stop eating.
The following are some of the names of Artificial Sweeteners
Aspartame, acesulfame potassium, sucralose, saccharin (two brand names: Sweet ‘N Low and Sweet Twin), Splenda (sucralose), Neotame (brand name: Newtame), Advantame, Acesulfame K (brand names: Sunett and Sweet One).
- Trans Fats and Vegetable Oils
Trans fats are widely use by food manufactures and restaurants because they’re easy to use, inexpensive to produce and last a long time. Trans fats give foods a desirable taste and texture. Trans fat is considered the worst type of fat you can eat. Unlike other dietary fats, trans fat — also called trans-fatty acids — raises your “bad” cholesterol and also lowers your “good” cholesterol as well as promoting inflammation which is the leading problem with most chronic diseases. Trans fats also interfere with basic cell membrane function, which can pave the way for cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.
Before 1990, little was known about the damaging effects on health by trans-fat. In the 1990s, extensive research began identifying the adverse health effects of transfats. Based on these findings, FDA instituted labeling regulations fortrans fat. However a great number of the population consumes high levels of trans fats based on their food choices, such as fried foods like doughnuts, and baked goods including cakes, pie crusts, biscuits, frozen pizza, cookies, crackers, and stick margarines and other spreads.
Hydrogenated vegetable oils are still one of the biggest health dangers in foods consumed today. From crackers, chips, fried foods, and loads of other foods, Americans now consume 100,000 times more vegetable oils than at the beginning of the 20th Century—vegetable oils now comprise about seven or eight percent of all calories consumed. Unfortunately the media has not made hydrogenated oils as popular of an enemy to health as they have with trans fats, so vegetable oils continue to be consumed by a vast number of the population despite the fact that they degrade into toxic oxidation byproducts when heated. Heart disease, and Alzheimer’s have been directly linked to the consumption of hydrogenated vegetable oils.
