Often people ask what form of workout is best. The answer to that is simple, it all depends what you’re trying to accomplish. If you want muscle growth, I recommend strength training.
If you want flexibility, I recommend Yoga. If you want to destroy your knee joints, I recommend any type of high impact or sport.
However, since we’re all different and require different amounts or types of exercises, I would recommend a workout that offers strength training, because as we get older, we lose necessary muscle mass as well as bone strength.
So to keep our types of exercises strong we must perform strength training with good form, proper concentration and focus, a good grip to avoid nerve and tendon damage, a constant variety of exercises to avoid “Laying Tracks’ and wearing down of ligaments, tendons and joints.
Additionally, proper movement and velocity of the repetition to avoid undue stress on your joints, ligaments, nerves, and tendons since weight in motion weighs approximately 17 times its actual weight.
So if you are working out with a 10-pound weight and perform incorrect velocity you are putting 170 pounds of pressure on your joints, ligaments, nerves, and tendons.
