Restaurants as well as food manufacturers have created “catch phrases” to get consumers to buy their foods or patronize their restaurants.
Some of those phrases are, “Plant Based Menu,” “Grass fed,” “Free Range,” “Hormone Free,” “All Natural,” “No GMO,” “No Sugar Added,” to name a few.
As far as the restaurants are concern, if you really want to eat healthy, you should ask what type of oil they use to cook the food and at what temperature do they cook their food at. Of course, it is difficult to ask those questions without intimidating the waiter and/or the chef.
The point here is that even if you do ask and they tell you exactly what you want to hear, they’re probably lying to you to get you off their back. There’s always that old fear that if you upset them, they’ll spit on your food.
In any case know that when you go out to dinner, no matter how hard you try it’ll be hard to eat a fully healthy meal. In regard to store bought food, the only way to stay safe is to read ingredient labels.
